Boot camp is not for the faint hearted and not everyone passes it. It is rigorous, demanding and detailed.

You need to have a strong constitution, be ready to work yourself hard, take criticism and learn from it, and become self aware. Take the Trading Strategies course for example; it has a mix of theory, strategy, mathematical detail and practical trading examples. We tell you once, we show you once, and then you use the strategies on the markets. We encourage you to think and act quickly. This way, we build you up to be more than you ever thought you could be; independent minded, alert and fully focused.

A comprehensive Trader Profile is created for each trainee as they move through the boot camp and the ongoing training program. The Trader Profile includes comments and results from psychometric test reports, changes to trading performance over time, educational performance and the number of knowledge classes undertaken. For financial markets knowledge we teach the Institute for Market Technology Electronic Trading Certificate an industry recognized qualification, and have a partnership with the Centre for Computational Finance and Economic Agents (CCFEA) at the University of Essex.
